Pastry Cottage Bakery & Bistro

Panjim, Goa

This is the first cafe by a well established Goa based chain of Pastry Shops and is located in a densely populated suburb of Panjim. The space selected for this project has a very high ceiling and a part of it is used to create a mezzanine floor and rest left to enjoy the full height. The extra height is used to create an installation of wooven cane lamp shades and an exposed air conditioning system to add a touch of industrial aesthetics. The colour palette is a combination of bold colours punctuating the predominant greys and white. A large mural reflecting the emerging culture of this suburban neighbourhood is added to breath life into the space.
