GAURI KALOKHE’S HOUSE
Conceived along an elongated site, this villa was designed to dissolve
boundaries between inside and out. The use of exposed brick became
a deliberate choice — a material that carries both rustic honesty and
timeless presence. Tall M.S. windows, painted in vibrant tones, were
introduced as playful counterpoints, framing views and drawing light
deep into the home.
Every finish was chosen to celebrate material truth: reclaimed details for
their imperfections, concrete floors for their quiet strength, and textures
that reveal the hand of time. The design strives to balance raw
materiality with contemporary comfort, creating not just a residence,
but a retreat that is both grounded and soulful.
